Can I pause my podcast?

Yes! If you know you won't be uploading any new episodes for a while, then you can move to our Archive plan!

The Archive plan keeps your podcast and episodes online and hosted for just $5 per month. Since you won’t be adding new episodes, this plan covers hosting for your existing content only. Your podcast and data will stay safe with Buzzsprout (and your listings will stay live on all directories), but you won’t have a monthly upload allowance.

Moving to a free plan or deleting your podcast altogether will put your podcast at risk. So, this is a great option if you want to pause your podcast while keeping it live! 

Note: You will need to be listed as the Owner on your account to make this switch.

If your podcast is part of a multi-podcast subscription, you don’t have to move it to the Archive plan. Leaving it on the multi-podcast plan will keep it live and hosted, and you can just use your monthly upload allowance for the other podcasts in your subscription!

If all the podcasts in your multi-podcast subscription need to move to the Archive plan, you’ll first need to separate them into individual subscriptions. Once that’s done, you can move each podcast to its own Archive plan.

Yes! Even though you won't have a monthly upload allowance, you can upload episodes for an additional $5/hour. Just upload your content, and the overage fee will be added to your monthly invoice! 

Yes! If you choose to begin uploading again, then you can easily upgrade your account to one of our traditional paid plans. Just go to Settings > Subscription > Plan and select the plan you want!
